Upasana Nattoji Roy

Upasana is a multi-hyphenate artist who leads two design studios out of Goa India, Switch and Roy Studio.
As a trained bharatnatyam dancer and designer, she finds herself rooted in the real world with imaginations through the arts using pre modern techniques and emerging technology. Her work is focused on an ongoing inquiry to find her own place in the world while learning about alternate perspectives from collaborators and clients alike.

Her work spans across design and narratives for experiences, performances, museums, and organizations. She uses the entire spectrum of communication design, animation, dance and film to trigger urgent conversations about the need for pluralistic voices in this exceedingly polarized world.
Since 2021, she has been developing a Design Program called KariGhar. Switch Studio is working on creating transmedia outcomes for the narratives and artworks that emerged in Phase 1.
