Rajesh Sangewar

Rajesh Sangewar is GM & Head of Product Design and Development – C&I Lighting and Seating business at Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting. He joined Wipro in 2014, where he is responsible for driving Design and Innovation in C&I Wipro Lighting and seating business, which has won many design awards, including the Red Dot Award, the CII Design Excellence Award, and the India Design Mark.

Rajesh brings a rich experience of 23 years in consumer insight-driven product design & innovation. He has completed a BE (Mech) from SGSITS, Indore, a Master’s in Industrial Design from IIT, Delhi, EGMP from IIM, Bangalore & SLP program from IIM Ahmedabad.

Rajesh joined Satyam-GE Appliance, India Design centre under GE’s EEDP program in 2002, where he gained experience in developing products on a global platform. He has also worked with VIP Industries, Nasik, and Titan Industries (watches div), Bangalore, as an Industrial Designer, where he gained rich experience in designing consumer products for the Indian market.

Later he did a 1yr executive general management program from IIM, Bangalore and then worked as Brand Manager at Titan Industries (Watches div) where he got experience in developing the brand Zoop targeting kids in the Indian market. Then he moved to TI Cycles of India, Chennai, as Head – Consumer Design, where he was instrumental in developing the consumer insight process leading to new product design and innovation.

He is a certified Six Sigma black belt and has done several business assessments under the Tata Business Excellence Model. He is also a certified Project Management Practitioner (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, Chennai Chapter.
